Congratulations, Mike! Great site!

But, is there a way the site can recognize our previous accounts? I can't seem to make it right.

Please advise as I am planning to get few upgrades packages.

First two Evo2 setups from North America post at http://www.awesomatixusa.com/p/setup-sheets.html . Search for "Evo2", or just scroll to the bottom.

Also are the setups from the WCICS Victoria, BC Canada race from the Jacob's -- Danilchik and Reyes.

Thanks Mike.

Enclosed is a version of my stock setup for the standard EVO carbon fiber chassis.

This setup has lots of steering with the sweep QTS tires. You can see, at speed, the car had plenty of steering yet not much steering angle. Very easy to drive too. Key points are very little oil in the gear diff, 1mm front hex shims, Mazda Speed 6 body, CA'd front tires , spool, little droop, and also last, but not least, the reversed l/r dampers for "reverse" asymmetric damping.

I start 3rd but I had the fastest car for the main.

Also, my mod setup is an Evo II except I used the older stiff, longer, and wider alloy chassis plate, not the new narrow one.

Jacob D.
.... but they call me JAKE !

^^^ yes Jake's care was defenitely the fastest in the main... im also running his setup and its very nice and planted.

Thanks Mike,

My VTA was also simmilar... found the sweet spot in gearing and timing and cracked 12.7's and 12.8 like nothing during practice runs when the pace and fastest laps were 13.0 and 13.1. In the main i drove conservative so i only clicked 13.0... My VTA was clearly the fastest but wanted to be clean and patient..

My setup is very twitchy.... since i like it like that... if you increase the droop it should make it a bit easier to drive...

I made a couple of corrections in my presentation. Please have a look if you plan to assemble an EVO II kit.

Question Mike
Does the new kit come with the S springs instead of regular thick springs?

I have to say, the new website is amazing! Pictures for a lot more parts helps immensely!

Which had me looking at getting the short arm kit for my 700L...! What parts do i need to do it? Other than the
- short turnbuckles - LNS1162 or AT14-1
- 2x A700-AM18-1,
- 1x A700-AM19 (comes with two pieces)

Oleg says SPR01 "standard" springs.

Mike Gee used the standard springs in the rear of his posted Evo2 setup.

You need 3 parts-
1- 2x (AM19 - Upper Arm Holder x 2)
2- 2x (Lunsford Punisher 1 1/8 Titanium Turnbuckles (4))
3- sufficient balls/ball ends/p01/p02

Building the SD-2s for my two cars and have a few questions:
1. Is the OR-15 ring seated properly if the bearing above it is flush with AT40?
2. Do you stack the shims with the .3mm first and then the 3 .1mm shims (.3mm one closest to the bearing)?
3. Is there a trick to setting the angle of the D2 in the AM17 to get the right range of motion on the SPR02 prior to putting it in the car?

your talking about A700-D2-S, right.

1. not sure how to describe what has to occur here -- i think your issue is with step #2
2. we've only been using 1-2 0.1mm thick shims.
3. the range of motion is VERY important. improper range of motion will cause the SPR02 to bend upon crash. the SPR02. at the "lower" range of shock movement we've found that having he SPR02 "level" with the SC2x6 screw within the am17 helps provide both enough droop, and limits any "stopping" of the damper on the chamber that could cause the SPR02 to bend.
4. you'll want a 14mm uptravel limit set to further protect the SPR02 from bending.

worst case, if you've bent some SPR02, just remove the ST05 from the shock and using a pliers to bending the SPR02 spring down quickly while its still in the car. i'm not sure how many times you can get away with this trick, but it was a good work around while trying to determine the best answer for D2-S insertion/rotation within AM17
