Who's setups have you tried?

Some things to look at

1. Remove 1mm spacer on the outer rear toe link. This will create toe in when the car rolls

2. Increase rear damping and spring if the car feels like it's rolling around to much in the rear and breaking loose.

3. Less droop front, maybe less rear

4. Increase rear gear diff oil

5. Increase rear toe

6. Move battery forward

7. Raise the rear inner link point by 1mm

8. Less front camber, more rear

9. Less front caster

10. Lengthen the rear of the car

Obviously don't do all these at once but try in this order. On top of all these possible changes dope less of the front tire.

Josh Cyrul's setup from Mile High is really good. I've found great ways to adapt it to other chassis. At the Halloween Classic I ran it on an c01al-s + am33 without top deck this time. The car really came alive without top deck.

I also removed 1mm of rear toe link shim to have more rear toe in during compression. This helped a lot on tight corners...

Right now - never again.
The c01al series has been replaced by the c01al-s

All of my cars have the c01al-s ... And I wouldn't say its holding me back

On the Josh cyrul mile high setup he says he has 3 toe out on the front in total, so on the gauges is that 3 each side or 1.5 each side? And the same with the rear is it 4 each side or 2? Thanks sorry if this is a stupid question, 3 seems alot so thought I'd ask

Toe in/out total means 1/2 of the # on left and 1/2 of the # on right.

Love this car, it is fast and smooth.. and had a crappy setup, but was still able to do the same laps with my xray T4 14 did.. The only thing is the part po1 kept popping off and the rim melted it some, still learning the setup's ,MIke H thanks for the advice on taking the car apart to learn and look for bent part's found some stuff wrong, thanks again. If the scissor joint p01/p02 are popping off (during a crash) you have four options-

1. Use some CA glue once installed/setup on the car to weld the two parts together
2. Use a small zip tie instead of ca
3. Replace the p01/p02 with new plastics
4. Stop hitting things

Option #1 or 2 are the most effective for club racers.

I would like to add to cut the excess thread from the axles helps with this as well.

Plus hard bumper helps take some of the force off the ball link in most hits.
