Hello could an Awesomatix wizard suggest a starting setup sheet for a medium grip mixed tight technical and high speed track.
For an a700L that has been upgraded with the FFG 1.1 kit ?
I also have the Am06m and the FCB parts
Cheers

For carpet, I would run it fully screwed unless it is some weird ultra low grip conditions.

E-clip, carpet or asphalt?

At the Vegas warm up race this past Saturday at MRH, Awesomatix had the top 3 qualifying spots, 4 of the top 5, and 5 in the show(Myself, Karl, Manny Flores, FJ, Hot Tub). In the main, we locked out the podium(Myself, Karl, and Manny). I also TQ'd and won mod. Things are looking good for vegas

Congratulations!
Michael, what chassis/stiffener/top deck combinations did you used on both your cars?

We are testing new carbon chassis at the moment also.

After racing we traded cars around. Karl's re-ran his Halloween Classic setup ... And it has a fantastic abity to steer from the rear allowing a driver to toss the car into the corner and everything "just works" which says something on the uber high bite layout.

My car was ran by a few people. This was a great showing for me at MRH. I had my battery all the way forward which caused it to stall a bit. Moving it back to F1 helped a lot in after race practice.

Everyone but Karl and I ran Mazda speed 6 bodies. Karl and I opt'd for an LTC-R/sweeps ltc-r clone.

Stock-
Gee: old alloy prototype (pre c01al)
Karl: c01al + am30-1
Manny: c01al + am30-1
Me: c01al-s + am33-5
Hot tub: c01l

Mod-
Gee: c01al-s + am30-5
Hot tub: c01l
Me: c01l (13.5 car)

I had an am33-5 on my mod car.

E clip, I would start with Hanulec/Larrys 17.5 setup from jackson, 17.5 setups tens to work well in 13.5

For c01al-s + am33-5 on asphalt/stock racing you can try both a soft and a stiff setting. As grip comes up the stiff setting could be superior.

Stiff setting: all hole but first and last
Soft setting: focus on center two holes, and second to last holes at each end.

Congratulations for Oliver!
It seems that new C01AL-S alloy soft chassis is very good for ETS black carpet.

Has anyone fit a Protoform ZL1 body to an A700? How did you make the nose of the body fit using the existing kit body posts?

You need to add washers underneath the body posts, about .200 to .300 worth.

congrats to Awesomatix USA driver Brad Johnson for his TQ + Win in the 17.5 class at the http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...ty-u-s-49.html. Many fast guys in attendance -- including EA and Corey, last year's IIC winner and TQ men.
