How about "Master Caster" sounds like something from a 80's cartoon

This could be its own thread

I probably would have kept 'Caster' and passed on 'Doodle'

I am going to trademark Anglematix ™ before confusion starts in the marketplace.

Always good to have another Doodle in the marketplace. Caster is such an overused phrase

Mark: did you do anything to your setup to help with the 'whoop' section at roadrunners last weekend?

My chassis was pretty beat-up with that speed bump. Increasing ride height was the only change. The car was good on the rest of the track. Just bad luck. Quick times in the quals - not enough to get a clean run.

The bump was less dramatic with the 13.5 car; the mod car liked to wheelie over it (driver lacks) mod throttle control).

I highly recommend to try 0,5 mm front kick up and 0,5mm rear anti dive for bumpy tracks. Reduced difference between the front and rear suspension stiffness is recommended with it.

I had tried that earlier in the day at the track JayL was asking about. Unfortunately that change took away some of the initial steering and rear bite that was more important to the rest of the track.

The track rarely uses this specific section of the course for that reason. That tip has worked for some of our less that perfect area tracks.

It should be combined with the second part of the tip: Reduced difference between the front and rear suspension stiffness.
So a bit harder front suspension and a bit softer rear suspension ( near to 48/52% F/R stiffness relationship), kick up and anti dive - what I see in the latest setups for "natural" asphalt from our EU and Asia drivers.
The best criteria is the average lap time for sure.

EAMotorsports FYI:

Firstly named "Caster tool", page 161, post 47 in 09/18/2012.
So who i copying whom ?
I could consider renaiming and adding "original"
My (commercial) version of tool is compatible with all versions of front and rear steering arms, competitors V1 wasn't, this the reason for V2.
By the way, my first car was bought 11/10/2011....

Oleg,

in your previous post regarding kick up and anti-squat for bumpy tracks you mention running less difference in front to rear suspension stiffness. I am curious what the range of difference would typically be especially outdoors on asphalt.

Regards,

Warren

Warren,

Almost all our setups show such difference from 43%/57% ( this proportion is very close to Yokomo Team setups in fact)
to 49%/51%.
I remember that only Kyle Bergstrom setup for Florida WC track has an unusual opposite proportion: 52,7%/ 47,3% - stiffer front suspension.

The right proportion depends on your driving style and level, track conditions, body, wing etc. So please try to find what will be the best for you.

These holes are for new suspension that we will test soon.
The addidional holes along the center line are for AM30-5 and AM33-5 stiffeners.
