Do you want easy or do you want performance? If you want easy, this may not be the car for you. Every hold down system I have seen has the possibility of either stressing the chassis, pulling it into some sort of bow or tweak, or will introduce an asymmetric flex by making the battery side of the car stiffer. Sure, with care you can probably avoid those problems but the potential is still there. The locaters and tape eliminate all those possible problems.

Tweaking the chassis only if you overtighten the screws! The battery should be barely touching the carbon strap after screwing the strap down! It is all in the way you do it , but tape is not acceptable even in my tc4 rtr, not to mention a $750 kit !!!!

You can always make one yourself, seriously if they are not planning to make one it is probably because they know that most racers don't use them. Stop trying to ask them to make parts that would only make the kit cost more. This is a pretty seriously designed race car. Look at pictures from any big race and you will not see a battery strap anymore. You will only find a handfull at a club race. Many companies use to offer one, most no longer do, why is that?

Not acceptable? I barely see anyone using a carbon strap any more, I'd say you were in the minority in using one. All the top guys use tape, its the best performance racing solution. If you are after an easy car you're in the wrong place with this one. These guys are not messing around with this chassis, if they don't include something in the kit then its because you don't want to be using it. I think they and all the worlds top drivers probably know best.

There should at least be an option for a strap, whether you have to pay extra for it or not, that's all I wanted to suggest! Nevertheless I will probably make my own strap for it !

We are bringing constructive criticism to the thread, and we have the right to bring up ideas from the past touring cars that worked for us and hopefully will draw us to the awesomatix, whether these ideas came from a car that most here hated or not. OK! Hopefully the A700 will benefit from these ideas and win just like the tc4ft in 2005!!!!

I still have my TC4 since 2007. Love this kit. Beats all current shaft drive kits.
