What is better? Using four satellites or just two?
Thx
I am running all 4 steel gears its a bit heavier than plastic, but that only matters in stock. That said, I used this setup at carpet nationals in the stock class and did just fine.

Thank you all

And what about the wear compared to the plastic gears? Are you putting shims under the two g05st gears or not?

I used no shims, it seems like it will go maintenance free for a long time.

Oh, man. EA, you and Scooby Horton gotta be brothers from another mother.

Some of the gems Scoob gives us weekly:

'Nah, man. Williams, you so faaast. My s**t is slloooow. I'm just in your way.'

'Pssst, Williams. What shock oil you running? You running antidive?'

'Hanulec, that car is FAAST! My car is so slooow. Wish I could get me some motor like that.'

First assemble the diff dry, with the gears you intend to use. Shim 0.1mm one side and reassemble. If its too tight, take it out. If not then shim the other side as well. again, if too tight, take it out. And so on..I go through the process each time to get it spot on, if I have time.
The ideal is to have the gears mesh as tight as possible to prevent excessive wear or premature failure, but avoiding binding. This keeps it smooth as possible under load.

If you live in the NY/NJ/CT/PA/MD/VA area, there will be 3 Awesomatix drivers and Awesomatix USA (Mike Hanulec) at our event this Saturday, April 6th.

Come join us and see the A700 in action. Here's the link for more info.
