Aldo - any car can be made to work well at a given track -- given enough time, skill and luck. i think people choose another ride to be different or because they believe that platform has advantages over another.

People should make sure to not "sleep" on their purchase decision. Otherwise they will need to wait until the next stock order . One kit is already gone...

I bought an awesomatrix a700 only to sell it brand new because of lack of parts, but with the new north american distrubitor, I would like to get this car again, but I guess some things have changed, if some one can help me out, what is the difference in the kits and how many different versions are there, what are the option parts to get, any and all info would be great thanks

For the current line of cars (forget about the past--)

#1 A700L - a longitudinal only (think TC4) touring car kit. this was designed to be the 'budget' car. it contains a narrower chassis than the EX
#2 A700EX - the evolution of the A700 kit, supporting both longitudinal and transverse motor layouts.
#3 A700EXL - this is a "price optimized" version of the EX that only includes the parts to create a longitudinal kit. as compared to the A700L, the A700EXL includes
3.a - C01EX instead of C01L
3.b - the new floating server mount (AM24)
3.c - both types of springs (soft and hard)
3.d - the rear body holder (AT22)

ive been getting some 'feedback' about the use of the term 'budget' and 'tc4' in my above post. i hope i haven't offended any of the existing A700 runners... i'm only trying to help explain the kit differences to folks who are not as informed as you all might be...

"budget" is still relative comparing those other options..... it's the most inexpensive of those options, haha, thought that was clear......... made complete sense to me..... "Tc4" well, you were trying to give people a reference for layout.... also made sense

I just took down my favorite poster in my bedroom and replaced it with a A700ex
pic.
A kid can dream right?

I have wanted one of these since I saw Dawson rocking one.
Good to see Mike pick this up.
Parts availability= more kit sales.
More kit sales= used car sales (eventually)= happy JD.

I have no logical explanation for this, it could be just in my head, but, in conjunction with P20 delrin sleeve I have popped one front driveshaft in a year (which ruptured P20) and I drive almost exclusively indoor carpet.
Hi Hana,

Is this the orientation in this picture ?
