EVILGRAFX and rezenclowd3;

I've been looking into this ongoing problem since the middle of Dec. About the only thing we can conclude is this: the current depressed economy must be making the buyers at the major USA distributors nervous about inventory levels or something. It rather perplexing. The LTC-R was ready to produce and ship Nov 15th. We had the decals and masks and everything - ready to go. We have produced and shipped every order we've recieved in the prescribed time period. It's got me pretty annoyed - seriously.
I appreciate you trying to support your LHS - I'm an advocate of that. However - there's a breakdown somehere. Our direct/on line sales (from out web site) are growing evey month - showing me that there's a problem with domestic distributors and their erratic buying habits.

I'm looking into it - again. Sorry for the inconvenience you've been caused. The guys who've tried the LTC-R seem to really like it a lot.

I was getting my bodies ready for the Carpet Nats and thought I would check out the approved bodies on the ROAR site... I didnt see the LTC-R on the approved list. Has this body been sent in for ROAR approval?
Sorry I forgot to answer you earlier. The LTC-R body was sent to ROAR in Nov 08. Then near the end of Dec ROAR body officials informed me that there were a couple of GBS dimensions that were out of tolerance by fractions of a millimeter - literally. (lexan shrinks considerably after it comes off the mold and cools down) These minor issues were promptly fixed and the body was re-submitted. I hope to hear from them any day.

No worries. I'm 100% sure it will be on the ROAR approved list well before the Nationals.

Thanks for your support!

Personally I try to support my LHS, but sometimes you gotta go to the source!! Lately I have just ordered straight from you guys there as the LHS does not keep up with the latest stuff out there also, or what I want they never have.
Personally I love this new body and it look very promising!
Keep em coming!!!
I have only had one time I had a problem ordering direct form you there as the system crashed and lost the order and I did not find out until almost four to five days later. I just canceled it and will reorder it later. Things happen.

Dale said the same thing to me too katfish, just go to the source sometimes. I really would, but I mainly paint for fun right now, as I do not need the bodies. I am a little burnt out on racing, and my priorities have changed to saving money instead of racing 2x a month now. My LHS is bitchin, and they are really hurting, so ANYTHING I can do to give them a few $$ I will do. If it were not for them and their support, even though I am 3 hrs away, I would have left the hobby because of the arses at Covina Hobby Shop when I first started.

+1 for Elite Hobbies in Covina. (shameless plug)

Great Planes had the wrong mfr part# in their system for a while. It looks like they have fixed it, so hopefully that helps.

Default Wing Endplates

Anyone know what difference it makes running the endplates(bits of lexan stuck on the sides of the wing?) make?

From what I've seen it settles the backend and takes away a bit of steering.

I know this is the electric on-road forum, but I race nitro sedan also. When might I be able to retire the nemesis shells I've been hoarding in favor of this R9-G? I've been running the R9-R on the carpet all winter and it suits my driving style perfect, so I love it, but outdoor season is fast approaching, so what's the word?

Over the last month I have now run both the LTC-R and R9-R. I race on a tight medium grip asphalt surface. I haven't yet done back to back testing but so far the R9-R wins by about 0.2s. It also feels more direct and responsive. The LTC is a little easier to drive but if I try to match the pace of the R9 I end up crashing anyway.

It adds stability (rear end more planted). Take note that under AARCMCC rules the win can only be a max of 40mm front to back so you have to cut the plate down from its full size to fit.

On the just published EFRA list the #4019 and #4020 are listed as follows:

4019 Saab Concept Vehicle Protoform
4020 Audi A4 DTM Version Protoform

Are these the same bodies - DNA2 and R9-R?

According to their website you are correct.

NEW FOR 2009 EFRA 190MM SEDAN APPROVALS

EFRA #4018 – PROTOform “LTC-R” part no 1505
EFRA#4019 – PROTOform “DNA2” part no 1488
EFRA#4020 – PROTOform “R9-R” part no 1498

Well, I finally had a chance to see the “LTC-R” body in action on the weekend - at the ROAR On-Road Carpet National in Ohio. I was quite pleased by what I saw. Most guys are still kinda “stuck” on what’d been working well for them - however Craig Xavier and Robbie Dodge looked real good with their “LTC-R” bodies cars. They qualified 4th and 6th in the A-Main with Robbie ending up on the podium. They both ran some of the best lap times in the class.

Thanks guys! for taking a chance with something new and different.
