The car weighs about 800g race ready, I put about 72g of lead towards the rear of the pack just for a little help (but I will find out this weekend if more or less is needed). I wired using the deans and I am running a 160mah 7.4v lipo receiver pack. I took out the "red" speed control wire because with it the speed control would partially run the motor off the receiver pack, and I could hear a noticeable difference in rpm when the receiver pack was plugged/not plugged in.

Interesting...do you think this is unique to the LRP ESC?
No regulator for the Lipo Rx pack?

I'm looking forward to trying one this Saturday with a 13.5.

Im not sure as I only run lrp.
I looked at Donny Lia's setup for one of the prototype lipos and he did not run a regulator, it seems fine so far but a regulator is something I am bringing with me this Saturday. I am also going to try 13.5 and 17.5 this weekend and compare to 4 cell 17.5 along with run times before the cutoff kicks in.

Did you have to shim up the shock ? One of the delays was that we redid the casing so it would be thinner to help keep the shock as close to stock as possible.

Nope there is about a 2-3mm gap between the batt and shock collar with no shim, but I run a medium height ballstud on the center mount, so a stud that goes all the way down might get pretty close.

For those who want to see lap times of the single cell Lipo in oval you can look at them here. http://greenevillercspeedway.com/Fin...11-15-2008.htm

Look at the 17.5 class as Phil Harwood was running a 13.5 single Lipo against 17.5 sub-c.

It's impossible to make Lipos at 4.8v it's 3.7 or 7.4 as Lipos are 3.7 per cell.

i did not know that single cell lipos came in 3.7, i am new to lipos an race off road, i am looking to get into that world gt class, but i dont want to run the other battiers, i guess i could use a big rec pack to make up for the lack of power right ??

Danny, do you have any type of lipo receiver packs? If so, what are the dimensions?
