No, but seriously didn't that make you laugh when you opened it?

It will be a little while longer before we can post real pictures.

Danny,

Will the new 4900/40c have the same dimensions and configuration as the SMC 4000/25C/3.7V single cell Hardcase pack? Alos how will the price point compare?

We actually have 2 models coming out. The first one coming out is in the same case as our 4000 but it will be black and will have 12 gauge wires with a Deans connector. The other model will be in a new case has flat ends instead of rounded and will not have the bumps on the bottom. This pack will have 4mm tubes directly soldered to the cells tabs. I'm not sure when the new case will be ready but it should be ready soon. The price will be around 15 dollars more.

Awsome. Will it be the same size? Im looking at the new BMI and think they made the pocket to fit your current single cell.

The one with 12 gauge is the exact same case as the current 4000 but the one with inboard connectors will have the ends of the case square instead of rounded but it will not be longer than the longest point of the current pack.

We will still offer the 4000/25C as it's being used by some tracks and organisations as a spec style pack to limit costs.

We decided to do the inboard case for the new single cell as we can solder the tubes directly on the tabs of the cells which will keep resistance as low as possible. On 2S pack we have to use a circuit board which increase the resistance but we had to do an inoard 2S pack as racers in Europe seem only use bullet style connectors.

ok cool. Take a look at the new dbrr real quick. He made a pocket in the chassis so you can turn the pack (your current pack) upside down to lock it in place. With the new pack it should drop right in then.

Thanks

New pic of the SMC4000 mounted in my XRAY XII:

Perfectly balanced left to right, and 20grams underweight .
