Fuzzy, I'm running the same setup as someone with a 2.5 mm car and both our cars are dialed. Change one thing though on that setup, go to outer hole on the front arm and lower inner camber link positions.

Wow, that was fun! I wanna do it again! lol. I ended up 5th in the K-Main (105th overall in stock). The car handled great (Thanks MUFFIN!) but the track conditions were really bad. The boards all started peeling up and it felt like driving over a boardwalk or something. All in all, it was a good week and a great experience. I think next year I have to work on getting some more sleep, though. lol. One day/night I only had about 2 hours of sleep before I had to go and practice. It was nice to meet everyone (Shane, Ray, etc.) and I hope we all race again sometime. As much fun as I had, I must say that it is very good to be home. lol. I've missed being on the computer and talking to everyone. Instead I got to do it in person! lol. And now I am off to bed because while I can drive an r/c car with 2 hrs sleep, the same definately doesn't go for geometry. lol.

IMO, the advantage is a better handling car. Quicker transitional handling, no torque steer, and a consistant line thru a turn. For carpet racing w/foams, my suggestion is the D1 with a 2.5mm or 3mm chassis and 3mm top deck. The short wheelbase D2 is more suited for asphalt.

sns820 iam a warpspeed factory driver.
the benifits that attracted me to this chassis is that the car is consistant run to run and there is an elimination of the torque steer. also the car has quicker tran sition from left to right and has more tuning options then the regular tc3 as in adjustable wheel base and the abilaty to choise the stock steering rack or the one for the nitro tc3.
as far as d1 or d2 i prefer the d-2 for asphalt and the d-1 for carpet.
if you are looking for a dual purpose car go with the d-1 as the d-2 is extremely difficult to set up and drive for the beginner.!

Does anybody have a setup for the D1 on low bite asphalt with rubber tires. I run stock class and my car spins out too easy comming out of the corners.
