Default QUESTION

I have a D1 with out any slots to use strapping tape to hold in the batteries. I noticed wheelmanST's demon have slots for the tape but no hole for the standoff.

Where is the best place to make a slot to use tape but still retaining the hole for the standoffs?

Thanks Guys!! And Happy New Year!!

wheelmanST: nice work!!!

Well my race day went OK today. The car was very good, I think I have my setup for Novak. I tell ya these Binary's are still tricky to gear...After the first two qualifiers of scratching my head wondering why I'm not going faster, I go and check what the top guys are rolling out at...and i found i was 3 teeth undergeared...yikes!. My third qualifier was just bad for me, so I ended up only in the B main today . However the main went well. Started fourth, by the end of the sweeper I had already moved to second, and inches off of first. I tapped first, and waited (trying to be sportsman-like), but that ended up costing me and putting me at last place. Well it was clear after a few laps that I did have the fastest car on the track in that race, and i quickly moved up the field to second place. About 3 mins in, I was only a straightaway behind 1st, and catching him fast. Every lap i grew closer and closer, probably a half a turn each lap at least. But time expired and I just didn't have enough time to get around him. Oh well good day of racing. Car was great though .

Seth,

Great job dude. Glad to hear the set up is working good and the car over all is awesome. I knew it would be. Vic has this TC3 thing figured out.....

Good luck to all of you Warpspeed drivers at the Novak Race. I am sitting that one out. Too close to Snowbirds.......

Awesome Seth!

Vic,

Please call me today at work or tonight at home (before 8:30pm please).
I FINALLY get to drive an RC car again-first time since the Champs. Got two Demons ready to rock. Batteries and fresh momos installed too!!!! This long break has been killing me-but on the upside-my cars are so pampered now!!!

Thanks,
Ray

Hey!!

My Blue Demon is finished and already raced!

I'm coming back with a race report and pictures, but just want to tell that I love the chassikit... The only few things I've done, is modding the battery posts and battery bar for use with the original TC3 screws and clips, and using LONG bolts all the way through to mount the top deck...

I'm probably gonna use som time making it all work perfect, but by just mounting the chassis the car worked fine... Didn't really feel a big difference from the stock TC3 , but some setup work and it's great! At least it's straighter than the stock chassis

Seth,
I'll bring my "off the shelf" stock motors for Tuesday,
(wish somebody could sponsor me 50% off)
that car works better anyway......

Good race on Sun.
Glad I could clear traffic
out of the way for you (your Pops)
