Good luck to the Warpspeed team this coming week. Unfortunately, in the interest of avoiding divorce papers, I won't be able to race the Champs. You know how the whole family thing goes. But since the race is only a 30 minute drive from my house, i'm going to try and stop by to check everything out and meet my fellow Warpspeeders. Except for Ray. I see him almost too much. Good luck guys!

Default Demonlove

To all you demon lovers, this is an awesome ride, it handles power supreme like no other. Ultra had their Clev. warm up last weekend. I ran 7 turns all day I was the only person to get the extra lap, I am settling in on a particular setup after Clev. testing and the race I will post a set up sheet. Yea this car Rocks not sniffing a tweak. Keep on ripping Demon lovers! CD

Let me ask a couple of questions about the ongoing warp vs bmi saga. Who actually designed the warpspeed car? Who actually manufactures the warpspeed car and finally what exactly is so great about the warpspeed car versus bmi or anyone else? I am going to ask the same questions of the bmi guys to keep it objective.

Well it seems that there is some folks who keep taking jabs at each others product, that is what I meant by saga.

Quote:
sunshine at one time victor had the guy from bmi machine some prototype componants and they were not that great. victor tried farming out the machine work but later found out that it was better he did it himself so he bought the tooling to cut the graphite and make the aluminum parts as the diference between the cars, is that there was a lot of testing before the d-1 and the d-2 were released victor had three drivers testing and making adjustment for about a 8 month period
he took time and re engineered the car its not just move everything around or just make a chassis off of the origional tub like the bmi cars. there was a lot of on behalf of victor. so the truth is there is no connection between bmi and warpspeed other than somework that was done by the guy. as far as the cars there are guys here in the state that have run both cars and they've said that there is nothing to compare that the warpspeed car is out right the best car.
This Victor guy bought the tooling to do his own cars? I want to be clear here, he went out and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on milling machines, etc to do the warpspeed cars? That's a pretty hefty outlay for his products I'll tell ya. Also, you say the bmi car is a copy of the stock tub chassis, how do you know this fact, has you or the warpspeed guy measured a bmi car for reference?

Thanks for the answers, this is an interesting debate over these two Florida cars.

Sunshine:
Debating the cars are fine, but don't start a debate on the people who designed the cars. What ever goes on (which is nothing) between Victor and Jason is their own personal business. This is not our business. Don't be so nosey! Just pick the car that you like and drive it. That's it. I have the Demon 1 and it drives really well. I also have the BMI chassis in the mail, so I'll be testing that also. I'll give an unbias comparison of both these chassis later.

The BMI is not just a replica of the tub chassis. This I know for sure. The motor and the batteries are placed closer to the center shaft.

Have to agree with Stonedgti wholeheartedly on his statements. Whatever occured between Victor and Jason is soley between those two parties and no ones business.

Just a hobbyist racer here and have had a blast racing and tuning my D2 for 19T on a very tight and technical carpet track. I have it now dialed in very nicely. I love the way it transitions so quickly right to left and fits my local track perfectly. For me the D2 was a bit of a handful with a mod motor on this short tight track, so I thought the BMI would be a nice complement in my stable and really like the attention to detail of the milling work of both the aluminum and graphite. I really think Speedxl does no service to either chassis as your review of the BMI is too far off the mark to even make me wonder if you have seen one in person... Victor definitely set the mark that any other manufacturer will have to work at to dethrone any time soon and with Chris running for him has every opportunity to make a big name fo Warpspeed in Cleveland. Good luck to all who attend.
