Ray, What springs do you have in the back? What do you have your spacers set at (wheelbase).

Default NTC3 Steering Rack

I've been reading this forum for a while now, but I must have missed why people are putting the NTC3 steering racks on thier TC3's. Can somebody please enlighten me on the advantage of doing this?

Thanks.

Heres the highlights:

1. No Slop

2. No binding when dirty (HUGE improvement there).

3. Can be tuned for more aggressive feel with Losi hubs or easier to drive with AE hubs.

4. More Durable.

Thats pretty much it. YOu can also go back and forth between the two and see which one you like better. I have both steering systems pre-built and ready to install.

Ray,

Have you tried spacing the ball stud out on the rack itself to change to the ackerman? Basically get them more in line and not at such an angle.............

Not yet as I read that makes car have less ackermann and thats not what I think I want right now. I figure that Ackermann is adjusting for the slip angles of the front tires. The more ackermann the faster the inside wheel turns in relation to the outside wheel thus keeping it from scrubbing across the track. More corner speed.

But if all goes smooth this Sunday-I think I'll space it forward. But this Sunday Aaron's on vacation and Jimmy will be running the hobbyshop-so I dont expect to have anytime for set-up changes like most races!! I'll be lucky to be charged up for each race!!

Sunday will be the debut of the Demon. Thanks for your all your help on setup options. I'm going to run the setup that you gave me to start with and see what I need to change from there.
