The pin I was referring to is the pin on the Niftech swivels. It can't handle a head on whwn running a spool. The pin on the pin cushions just isn't in tight enough to stay seated. It always ends up come out one side or the other. And spools eat right through the plastic part

Hector, I was right behind ya in the last qualifier, I had some time with Traffic, and then I just plain ole blew it. Lost concentration and turned left when I should have turned right, I raced from the other side of the stand all weekend, and the white lines screwed me up from the side we were racing on,.... Ohh well

Will be down @ CS on Wed night.. !!

Wow - took me a while to find my way back here. lol. Other than the unfortunate mishap in the main, I had a good weekend and the car was handling pretty well. Ironically enough, the best the car ran was in the hot laps I ran right before the main. lol. I'm pretty sure I could've placed in the top 3 if it wasn't for the pileup. Oh well, there's always Full Throttle in August. That should be a good race. Hot, but good. See the FL guys there and good luck at Mad Rip.

Default Weight Issue

I know the standard D1 is over 1500grams.
But I would like to know from other D1 owners (stock FT or heavily hopped upped) how much your car weights? Thats with bats and body.

Thanks!!! Peace and Happy Racing!

Hey Jeremy - where were you? lol. I saw your grandpa there on Sunday. My car ran pretty good but I didn't do too good. I qualified 1st in the D and got taken out on the first lap. My mom finished 4th in the novice A-main and my dad finished around 7th and Hector finished 9th in the 19t a main.

Lem - my car is a FT kit on a D1 and it weights around 54 ounces (1530.8 grams)with everything in the car and legal weight in the FL State Series is 53 ounces (1502.5 grams).

Edit: I just saw that Ray put the specs of his in there, so here's mine:
Keyence esc, rubber tires, PT, and a mazda 6.

Lem, to make thel legal ROAR weight(53oz) Lynn has to add 3/4 of an ounce with 3300 batteries and mine is at 53.7 with out adding any weight. My car has battery brace and she tapes her batteries in. Otherwise they are pretty much identical. We both run Novack esc, airtronics rec. p/t and use the big aluminum servo/transponer mt.(arm cut off). We both run Mazda 6 bodies. Also we run a spec tire C/S takeoff 27's with solid wheels.

Mine is so light due to a qc2 speedo, xxl reciver, aluminum input shafts, light outdrives, composit cvd's, and everyhthing else you can think of either skimmed out or having portions cut off. I like to add the weight where i want it to improve handeling.

Also, low profile foams have a big effect on weight.

lem with a quantum speedo, futaba servo, novak synthizised reciever. 3300 gps, take off 27 tires, protoform alfa, rpm bumper. graphite battery brace, and 19t motor. My car is about 3/4 an ounce too light. I have run at tracks where i have run open stock with what ever tires we want I have had my car down to 49 ounces.
On my d-2 I had to add 2 1/2 ounces!
