Rob he has come out with lowered deck mounts, and they are a big improvement. Check out pics of Muffin's car, you'll see. Also, he may have a few cutout decks left, but they are not in production anymore. The deck itself really isn't heavy Rob, and I have the 3 mm thick version. I anticipate the 2.5 mm would be lighter. See now if you just dropped the tub and went to a full on Demon you wouldn't be overweight with the deck , in fact, under 53 oz.

What's the point of shortening the wheel base? The stock TC3 already has a ton of rear traction. The car does look sweet with the lowered top brace. Anybody have pics of the colored graphite?

Thanks

My D1 is actually 50.7oz. with personal transponder and all normal size electronics (Cyclone, R200 RX) and 2.28" tires!!!

Also-on the TC3 has tons of rear traction?? It can, but when its fast-its kinda of loose and edgy. The game is to find that comfort zone. I can run 1* rear toe and have many times, but I am just plain faster in 5-minutes with more rear toe in. I make a lot less mistakes. I do one fast lap with less rear toe in, but cannot keep it up every lap.

Heres pics of the build process. I am bummed as I dont own small enugh electronics to mount the RX and ESC on the bottom.

Well could have-but I was inviting too mcu possibility of glitching!!

Heres a pic so far. Also a pic of JR shunt to absorb noise from the ESC follows.

speedxl-Is it too late to call now?? 10pm. My daughter is snugly in bed now so i can call.

Well-the original plan was to run a Novak XXL and I took it out of my Serpent Impact. Well like a [email protected]$$ I cut the antenna wire when removing it from its oily balloon. So I had to use this tall JR rx. but it works great-so thats a joy!!

Normally I would put the XXl in and see if it works, after repairing it, but NO WAY now. One week till the Halloween Classic and I dont have anytime to "test". I am not even making the last club race.

Ray Ray,

I spoke to Victor and he is milling me a 2.5mm top deck and shipping it out 2 day air. Also going with the new lower mounts. If your top deck is at the track I may snag it to give a try...

Thanks bud..

Ray, I could PM you this but I'm lazy and already viewing this thread (haha); I need you to email me the banner for Diamond Northern again. I lost the entire contents of my hard drive last week, and I had backed up most everything save for email. Sorry for lagging on getting it up there.

Well-it bugged me so much to have my Receiver on top of the Servo that I went and did it all again. What a pain, but I got it all in one the bottom plate!!
