Has anyone teamed up an X-12 17.5 w/a SXX StockSpec Version2 in BLINKY MODE running TC's? Whats the best motor/rotor/endbell timing combo w/that speedo?

Default X12 Sintered Rotor WorksTeam - 12.0mm

Hi Burito,

Does the X12 Sintered Rotor WorksTeam works in a normal X12 - non Octa Wind?

Also, the 12.0mm will help to reduce torque in the motor?

Thanks.

Stick with the rotor that came with the motor. I tried a 13.0 rotor and spent all sorts of time to get it to work on the SS v1. I found that no one cold help me as they all were on the stock rotor. You need to gear up for that rotor. It doesn't like to rev high and causes a motmot heat if you want to rev it high. Especially on that V1 speedo.

Stick to the 12.5 rotor. When I needed help w/13.0 rotor there wasnt any. And I run at one of the top tracks in the UK and still no one was there to help me.

3.5t is most definetely not recommended for a beginner like....you.

You should worry about your battery pack, I have blown 2 packs with a 4t, start to cost...and I know what I am doing.

Your friends will be most imprest to see your car going in flames

Happy birthday thought

Default Boomerang shims, apart from shim/o-ring/shim

Hi

I was in the process of changing the Std to ceramic bearings. Upon opening the motor casing there was 2 pieces of shims fell out from. They are in the size of 1/4 circumference of the motor case and very thin, about 0.49mm.

Still have the,teflon/o-ring/teflon set-up on the rotor.

Anyone knows anything about it as to where it should go probably?

Many Thanks

Default AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My 13.5 motor is winding me up.

When it's fast at the top end - the bottom has no grunt and vice versa.

I know this should be the best motor, but is it an esc issue - I use the Hobbywing with this esc - does anyone have a better recommendation?

stock motors -- shim, shim
mod motors -- shim, o-ring, shim

this goes over the shaft on the rotor on the pinion end
