how to compare wit other brand?
they rate thier brushless motor using 3000KV,5000KV,7000KV
as the rating .. what is the equivelent ?

3000KV = ?T ( other Brushless Motor ) = ?T ( Brush Motor )
5000KV = ?
7000KV = ?

can someone enlighten me?
1st of all, they are SENCORLESS motor....do you reallly want sencorless motor for racing? If you are only bashing and need the top speed...they are OK.

The higher the KV the faster the motor......Big name like Speed Passion or Novak also listed their KV on their site, but they use the "T" to ID the speed of the motor....and the general use that as well. See below chart and you can find out what "T" equal to what "KV"....

Also....sensored vs sencorless

P.S...all the above info are from Team Novak...thanks.

It depends which brand of 13.5R you are looking for, if is Hacker or Losi, as you could see their KV are just lower than other brands 13.5, so you have to pay attention with that.
In the case our race scrutineering are starting to using that SP motor checker, so since there we insist not to meaning anymore about what Turns in BL, just saying in the rules "BL motors with XXXX KVs or XX turn for BR motors", to be more reflexable and fair.

I know there is no exact answer to this question, but ill ask anyways. Where does 21.5 fit in?
We run the 21.5 with mechanical timinng only, with the tamyia ST black cans. I think the tamyia black cans are 23turn. It seems like the black cans may have a slight advantage, but definitly loose a brush quickly. The average lap times between the two are within a couple tenths on 10 laps.

Fyi The black cans are geared around 6.5 and the 21.5 are around 3.6.
