FYI The ones with the cathodes around the fan usaully do not fit(to thick) use the LED fans instead and they fit perfect.

They are inside the fan itself. The link Tres posted has alot of different fans with leds too. I did some checking and according to the dimensions listed for that cathode fan it may fit. The thickness is 25mm and thats the same as normal LED fans. The others I had seen were thicker. This place has several as well www.xoxide.com You can catch some deals at both places and get some on closeouts really cheap.

The white LED fan actually looks pretty cool IMO, might have to order one, they are really cheap...

When you expose it to UV light it glows.

My fan now buzzes a little more than it used to. I'll have to isolate it from the heat fins via double sided tape or something to keep it from coming in contact. Still will be able to cool adequately. Anyone else find this to happen with a fan mod?

No John we haven't had that problem yet. It may be the back if it is not the right thickness it will vibrate.

Next you should mount an iPod in that GFX. Wire it in for power and mount an external jack to connect a decent pair of computer speakers (color matched of course.)

You will never hear that fan noise and it will be nice to have your entire music collection readily available at your finger tips while you're in the pits!

LOL BarryH. Don't think im going to go that far, but thanks for the suggestion.

The width of the fan is the same as the old, 25.5 mm. Dunno why it is doing it...it's not a big deal, just a little extra wine from the fan. It's not as loud as my quasar pro fans when they kick in though!!

It will definitely hide that fan noise. Come to think about it,
add a nice set of Klipsch PC speakers with the 250watt subwoofer and you will not even hear those annoying 1/8 scale gas buggies anymore either!!!!
