Default tekin or speedpassion

I am looking for a speedo with adjustable timing to get the most out of my 17.5 motors.
which of these two do you recommend the rspro tekin or the gran turismo by speed passion. thanks

So far, I've really enjoyed the tekin RS line of products. I've only had them for few weeks, but they have been real easy ot learn. I think the trouble shooting features are totally unique to the brushless community at this time (sensor checker, onboard temp sensor etc)

Hotwire is easy to use.

Made in the USA.

I have NOT had the SP stuff, but I have had LRP and Novak. if I had it all over to do again, I'm certain I'd end up with Tekin.

I have been really loving the Tekin RS. Save your money -- there is absolutely NO REASON to get the RS PRO vs the RS if you are just running a 17.5. Use some of the money you save to get the Hotwire PC interface, as you really must have it to get everything out of the ESC.

I run the Tekin RS/Hotwire with a SpeedPassion 13.5 and it is an awesome combo.

I have both, Tekin in my TC and SP in my WGT. I like them both, my gripe with the SP is the size but it has the hand held programmer that is very nice. I love the size of the Tekin, but to get full potential you have to get the hotwire and a laptop. Honestly I think you can't really go wrong with either, it just comes down to the space that you have on the chassis.

There is a company called EZ-Run that sells re-badged speedpassion for half the price. Look it up.

Most of the EZ-run I see is sensorless. Would you have a link for the sensored ones?

Not under OSX. If you have an Intel-based Mac you can boot up in Windows (if you've installed it) and use it that way.

I'm a Mac guy and I've been trying to find a programmer to take on the conversion for "fun". Apparently the architecture it uses makes it possible to adapt.

I just got two speed passion speedos, and they rock.
They are so friggin easy to program, u just use this little card you hook to the ESC and it lets you adjust the settings on a lcd screen. No more blinking lights on the speedo! Get the speed passion, you will thank yourself later for getting it.

If you get the Tekin make sure you get the Hotwire with it.
If you think that in the future you will be running Mod then i would suggest the SP. Have you thought of the LRP Sphere tc?

Tekin hands down!! They are constantly working on new software development to get their speedos better and better. The newest software is working great in the RS Pro and kicking [email protected]@ most everywhere...

The speedpassion is ok, but I have seen them fry..

Just my 2 cents!!

I do have the lrp omp tc and I just wanted to see what I could do with the speedo and the timing, I think I am going to try one of the speedpassion low profile deals. Seems like a decent item, saw it at nexus for $155
