Default HPI micro help

How much faster is an hpi micro (using stock motor) with 6-cell battery pack than 5-cell battery pack.

Not a whole lot but the difference will be noticeable.

I never really drove the stock motor much though.

I might buy one. The people at my track race 6-cell (w/stock motor) but the 5-cell cost less so I might just be a little slower to start out.

How large is your track?

Do you know the dimensions?

5 cell stock is fun. Stay with 5-cell until you can drive better. That's what I did.

That is a pretty big track for stock.

Nobody runs any other motor combos?

No
I don't know why, becuase while I or other people with touring cars are practicing we always fly by the micro on every part of the track. But it's vht so the micros flip alot on the turns.

If your micros flip then you need to change your setup.

If there is increased bite, resort to a harder tire with less bite.

Would 5-cell packs handle better than 6-cell packs?
I will be using a penguin pan chassis.

5 or 6 cell, it is setup that is important. I would generally try to set everything as close to center as possible. I have seen five cell stick packs completely in the center of the car with a Penguin chassis. That is probably the best five cell configuration thay you can get.

If you have a balanced car, it will handle quite well with either cell count.

Remember also that you still need to drive the car!
