I think its just the batteries moved out a tiny bit to give more pinion clearnce for lipo's and to also help offset the weight of the heavier BL motors.

Thats what I thought as well, but the part numbers haven't changed up, so its either the same plate, or the 008 plate is MD'd.

The EU-Spec kit has a new part number for the 2.5mm chassis: 301128
The US-Spec kit uses the old 3.5mm chassis: 301126

I'll take photo tomorrow after race. Yeah battery is moved more outside and into the front a bit. Standart pinion fits without problems - no need of narrower pinion. And there are more holes in the chassis for motor mount - preparation for moving motor more to the front - those holes can be seen also on pics on xray page you just need to know what are you searching.

Anyone else see this thread's title every day and think "009? I remember when the 007 came out, and the 008 still feels new. Am I reading it wrong?"

as for being in the sport for awhile Im use to all the quick changes from Xray so what I do is run what I have until the new version starts selling for used (which is usually only a couple weeks) on here and buy it for 200.00 dollars less but as far as the competitiveness of the new cars there really is not enough diff to justify buying a new one, Ill just let someone else buy me a new one lol

I dont think that the 009 will be much expensive but we never know ...
I don't think the car will go up much in price (in euros). I don't know that RCAmerica has done much of an adjustment in the past on US pricing with the declining US dollar. If I were them, this is the time to adjust for the week dollar and increase prices accordingly in the US.

cheers,

mark

09 = 08 + a few change
07>09 difference = 07>08 difference + a few change

The Euro is weaker than it has been in a while... In fact the exchange rate is probably better now than it was for any of the T2 cars.

I think it's the same motor placement which got tested.

Look at the gap between motor mount and rear bulkhead

They had a price increase in July but anything is possible.
