Does anyone know where on line I can get some orange anodized Xray T2 09' parts? I usually get my xray stuff from Nexus Racing but there out of stock.

Stormer has a decent selection if Nexus is a no go.

I think they got a shipment today. I just made an order because they received the servo mounts I wanted. Looks like all orange is in stock other than the bulkheads, but I'm not sure if they are getting those because they have been showing "coming soon" for a while.

Has anyone tried a Tekin RX8 with a 3.5 or 3.0 motor?
Any comments?

i believe the xray belt is 3mm x 180mm ( 60t ) so you can use the folliwing belts, the shumacher rear belt part # U2721 and you can also use the HPI belt for the RS4 part # A848 or HPI A732 but its a 5.5 mm rear belt so its pretty wide.

any1 know if those lipo plates slip into a 008/009 (not the 'crooked' 1 from stormer hobbies)? i've just learned that i want to run nats (which is in the backyard this yr), not allowed to have lead on the battery. i ordered the 'lipo decks' for my 008 from xray to give the proper clearance as i told. but i'm goin to need a whole lotta weight to make 1500. right now less speedo, main wiring, and paint....i'm only 1285!!! and thats with 48g of lead down center spine under belt, 28g out back on either side of rear pod and a lil 7g in the nose. heard xray was coming out with a weight setup for the car but havent seen it f/s anywhere or what it costs. between this issue and debate over rules for 12 scale (1s vs 4cell, motors, weight etc)....this isnt lookin for good for myself and surely others.

perhaps 1 of the other plates they have listed for other chassis will work if the lipo decks are added?

help!

Has any one played with the +2mm roll centre mounts yet?

I put them on for a couple of runs at our indoor high traction track the other week, and the car had heaps of grip, but was just too unresponsive, maybe outdoors they will be better. But then i started to compare the 009 to my 416, and the 416 has the arm mounts around 1mm higher than the xray mid, and the top links are much longer, about 1mm longer than even the +2 mounts.

Has anyone tried to run the high arm mounts, and the +2 links? This might give the overall grip and responsiveness that the 416 has.

Any thoughts?

If you measure closely, the front holes for the upper links on the 009 (I'm talking about the shock towers) are actually higher than those at the rear.

If you put the links in the 'same holes' front and rear, the fronts will actually be higher.
I can't remember the exact number but it might be as much as 2mm.
