I say Xray should pick a new color and make it their standard.
XRAY offered different color options for the carbon fiber parts on their 1/18th scale cars/trucks and there weren't any issues. I think they are just trying to give fans some options. They're just colors and not racing required parts. Why not do it?

I don't really see anything really inovative on this, it's basically like every t2 model, but with color. I would really like to see manufacturers make car that are more lipo-friendly, like the type R . With the exception of Elliot Harper.
Terrible? Don't forget about Meen V. who was also in the 10-car A Main. 1 out of 5 cars in the finals was a T2'009. The touring car is designed for brushless/LiPo racing, just check the T2'009 documents.

I can answer your first question. I spoke with Ralph Burch at RC America yesterday afternoon and he said the earliest would be late December, however that is doubtful. It's most likely early January and it is because the Euro is affecting the T2'009 release in the US. Follow the link for full details.

Chill out there. While Xray only had 2 cars in the A-main, you have to remember they have a less experienced team compared to the others. Give Xray another 2 or 3 years and let the drivers reach their full potential and i think they have a shot at a world championship.

Sounds like somebody who knows nothing about IFMAR touring car racing

Anybody who can put their car in the top 20 let alone the top 10 is going extremely well. Im sure if you gave Hara or Rheinhard an Xray, they would still be right at the top.

Mike

Well if RC America is waiting to bring this car into the U.S. until the beginning of the year I think a lot of people will be getting their cars someplace else. Especially with it available overseas already. It is a disappointment but oh well that is their choice and they have to live with it.

I agree. I just checked Precision RC and they have the 009 listed at $436...with shipping it'll range from $468-$484. Not bad prices at all...for an Xray.

Are there "any" performance differences or is it all cosmetic? Sorry if it has been stated and I missed it but from what I am reading it seems to be the color of the aluminum.

Well my LHS in Canada has indicated that RC America should have kits by mid next week and will be shipping to the Canadian distributor shortly thereafter. They are indicating I should have the kit within 2 weeks. I truly doubt RCA would withhold bringing kits in when they know they will sell well now. They are in the business to make money. Kits aren't a huge profit for hobby shops anyway.
