Default ECS Driveshafts

Drew,

Wondering if the new ECS Driveshafts are better than the stock ones? Been itching to give them a try but wanna know more about them first.

Thanks,
Adrian

Yes they are...The first time I ran them was at the Novak in rubber tire with a spool and I was like oh yeah...The car had more steering and felt easier to drive...It was way smooth...They are well worth the money...I am going to try them in my foam car with a diff because I like them so much...Drew

Default ECS Driveshafts

Drew,

Would they be better with diffs upfront or with a spool? I run asphalt with rubber.

They are designed to be used with a spool..They take out the chatter you get with the stock cvd when the tires turn...That really only happens with the spool because with the diff you get diff action...I just like them they are just so smooth its great...Drew

I will have to think about this one...The shocks are the same on the EU and US...The springs are different...Try shorting the shocks meaning screw the bottom link on tighter...Let me know how long the shocks are now and I can check my car to see whats up...I think the shocks towers are the same...So it sound like the shocks are to long...I think I might be having a brain fart right now...I'm going to look at my car right now...Drew

Well what i noticed was that the springs are longer. i compared the springs with the ones from my friends US009. What im trying to get to is that the old springs like the ones we were using on the 007 are longer compared to the 009. i hope you can understand me lol

OK the shocks on my foam car are 63mm in the front and 64.5 mm in the rear...They have the short end links on them...The shock towers are the same...So check how long they are and look at you droop..Get your car to ride you said 6mm was all you can get, when the car is there back off the droop screws and check ride height if the car is over 6mm set your droop up again...Hope that made sense....Drew

Default ECS Driveshafts

Thanks Drew,

Will ahead and get the ECS Driveshafts! Lastly, any opinions on the one-way bearing spools for the T2? I used to run front one-way spools on my old Tamiya TA03.

Thanks,
Adrian
