Look up the exploded diagram for the parts.
If you race indoors and crash a lot I would advise on getting the metal outdrives for the spool as these break first.

Hey fellas just ordered a 009 eu and was wondering what size spur I need to run 17.5BL. Will the stock one in the kit work or do I need to order a smaller one?

Rdog, Xray offers down to a 104t (64p). For 17.5t rubber, a 104t will work, but there will probably be a day you'll wish you could gear higher. You'll need pinions in the 40-46 range, with 46 being the biggest that will fit. If you're willing to spend $10 on a plastic spur, you can get an aftermarket one in the 96t range that will be easier to gear.

With 17.5 brushless.. always get the smallest spur possible! With 13.5, its not as big of a deal. But ya, get the smallest, that way you dont need such large pinions, and can gear higher.
