Thats a plus. Should be able to run a 5000 mah lipo with one of our weight plates as well. Hopefully the graphite shims will be mass produced so the 008 and 007 owners will have an option. But...then again that could have a negative effect on 009 sales so who knows.
Just go to the local screw shop and buy a load of 3mm shims. And you have new version of xray.
Now orange xray looks like a bad idea. Why silver was replaced. I can`t get any other car which is silver anodised. Nooooo.

I kinda like the orange...i wish they would put aluminum shocks as standard..especially for a kit that is so expensive.

The shocks aren't aluminum because they shave off weight. But my question to that is are shocks sprung or unsprung weight?

To do this correctly its not that simple IMO. You need flats on the washers to hold the diffs in place, and then there is the steering post bearing / sleeve that will barely be inside the top deck if you shim enough for a 5000 and weight plate.

I was considering building a kit to do this, but this Xray version may take care of the issue.

The shaft connected to the arm is unsprung and the body connected to the shock tower is sprung.

Bad color choice. Why would Xray change their identity? Maybe Hotbodies should change to Green or maybe Associated should change their color to red? Irritating to say the least...IMO

• Limited edition orange coloring on aluminum parts for stylish and distinctive look. Warning, the blazing orange color will not improve lap times..

Yes. If you go to download section for 009, you'll find exploded view pdf as well as parts list. Most of the parts are compatible with 008 (compared by part numbers).

T2'008 EU chassis: 301125 (6cells)
T2'009 EU chassis: 301128
Both 2F remain the same (301183)

Other changes seems to be different wheel axle (305340 > 305341), rear drive shaft (305324 > 305326), and color. Any one saw any other changes?

to let the bigger lipo packs fit just buy a new top deck same as your kit i.e. us or eu and cut the center section off and use the ends under your topdeck as this will also allow the steering post retainer to stay where it should be and raises the height
