there are 2 different size pins in each driveshaft. I long and 1 short. Get the flat spot versions of each.

Hope that helps

More info on your speedy settings are needed for a decent fdr range. the Tekin has turbo and if your using this then your better off asking in the Tekin thread for advice on this.

Hi Karma,

There's a good starting hotwire set-up on the Tekin website for 17.5 rubber.

http://www.teamtekin.com/hotwire/ESCsetups/index.html

As for FDR, try starting at 108/35 for an FDR of 5.86. I run a T2 009 with the 38T/20T pulley configuration and this combo works very well for indoor carpet.

Hope this helps.

I have a T2'008 running 38/20 (1.9x), but its 95% similar to 009 and I use Tekin RSpro + 10.5R rubber on asphalt. So far 1.9x with stock/super stock motor is very good. I use 48p pinions though

Tekin has Sensored and Dual mode:

For Dual mode + 17.5R, you can try FDR between 4.5 and 5.5, so pinion between 37 and 44

For Sensored mode + 17.5R, you can gear down and add timing/turbo. your FDR can increase to 6.5'ish, so pinion of size 31.

Running a Nosram Stock Spec (Profile 7) with Tekin 13.5t (Timing on motor was 12 degrees) on the track attached. 38T pulleys and I was on 22/84. Worked perfect, loads of drive out of the corners but plenty of speed into the sweeper.

Default Futaba 9550 servo help

Can someone post a picture of a 9550 mounted in the Xray and the horn you are using. The horn I have hits the servo case in one direction and cannot get the 90 degree angle the manual talks about.

thanks.

I don't have a picture handy; but, are you using the spacers in front of the servo mounting tabs? That should get you in the ballpark.

You need to use some spacers to get everything to align. These are the parts you need (and should have gotten in the kit):

http://ashfordhobby.com/detail.aspx?ID=6140

Just use the servo horn marked "F" for Futaba.

The actual swing of the servo horn for the turning radius isn't anywhere near 90 degrees.

Why exactly do the two versions ( EU vs. US) use two different driveshaft lengths (52 vs 50)?

And if running rubber tires on the US or Foams on the EU require a change of shafts?
