Question:
This new exotek chassis for Xray ,would you recommended for carpet or asphalt?

Equal flex across the entire chassis will benefit both asphault and carpet.

how high is the top of the motor? theres more to "balance" then just sitting level on a set of points

the benefits are.... easier to balance with the weight battery holder. flex is equal since there arent any battery slots. narrower chassis moves battery (adjustable) and electronics closer to the center. more rear traction also.

it made my TC5 more consistent. im sure it'll do the same for the '009.

Hi Chris
How would the electronics move closer to center compare the xray chassis?
Most of the chassis has the four or more squares holes cutout by the motor mount allow to increase rear traction compare the xray!
How much can you shift the lipo from one postion?

There is not equal flex with this chassis. 2 problems, 1st in order for equal flex you must have the same motor cut out on the other side of the chassis. Second the motor mount forward most screw is not centered in the chassis like the T3. So by design there will not be equal flex.

I am not saying this chassis will not have a different flex characteristic than the stock. It will by nature as it is 2mm. So it will have a different amount of flex. Just because the battery slots are not there and it is 2mm it will not equal the flex of the stock. It just will not have equal flex. The T3 has as close to equal flex as possible for an Xray.

I guess if you need a chassis this is a good low cost alternative.

It would be very nice if you could bring the belt-flipping to the T2 '009 with the Exotek chassis.

But anyway - good job!

With 34t pulleys you can belt flip...been doing this since 08 so it's nothing new

With 38t you'll have to "relieve" the deck a little
