anyone else running no rear anti-roll bar for increased rear traction on the 009 EU running rubber tires on a high bite carpet technical tight track?

Yes. Last time I raced on carpet (rubber tire) I took off the rear sway bar and leaned the rear shocks in more. The rest of the car was nearly the stock setup (stock springs, 350cst, but with a 1.6mm bar up front). The car was dialed. The track was medium-to-high bite but fairly large and not terribly technical. If it were any more technical I probably would have gone stiffer on the front springs.

None of the guys at my local track run a rear swaybar.

thats what im hearing...I just bought a damn near new T2 009 EU roller...the car is still set up by a competitive driver at the Track...I was going to bring the car back to the box stock Xray carpet settings and develop adjustments that suit my own style, but part of me wants to drive the car with his setup, and if it doesnt work, start from the ground up...what do you guys think? by the way, he has the gearing set up the same as the T3...

Default exotek chassis

Mike- 2 suggestion:
1) On the t3 the cutouts under the diffs are larger to accomodate flipping the diffs and still having the slots underneath for debris to be ejected. If the 38 tooth pullies are run, the diffs/spool are very close to the chassis when the belts are flipped.
2) if you can create 2 battery holders (1 weighted to an ouce, and the other hollowed for minimal weight.) If a 2s2p 5000mah pack is run, you need about an ounce to balance the car.

Otherwise, nice job.

HEy!! Did you see my previous post about the exotek chassis missing the drill holes for the motor protector? Not a deal breaker... but my CF motor protector has saved my endbell on at least one occassion, and I like running it.

To balance YOUR car. 100X depends on electronics weight, placement, amount and gauge of wire, etc... Also, why would you want an ounce of weight so high?

Hi Bill,

Will look into it for the belt flipping. For the weights we're trying out some CF units. They look and work good but still determining if there is going to be any real demand. Don't forget, the included steel units have 3 positions so running the inward position may balance the car for you. Some have drilled holes as needed.

Thanks!

Yes, but because the chassis is narrowed the motor guard may not fit correctly over your motor so we nixed the holes, sorry.

Here's some pics for you, this is my TC5 but it's the same system, and it does work GREAT. I have beat this car like it owes me money and the battery always stays put basically there's 2 tape loops on the straps that stay on and you just bridge the gap.
