505? holy shit, that even makes my jaw drop. And I usually buy two of everything.. Thats more than my NT1's and there are WAY more parts with Nitro... oh well, my 008.75 car still works for me lol. Course this is one of the things you have the OPTION to do. NOT BUY a car every year lol..

Why so shocked. The price of the T2 '008 was $489.00 about 3-weeks after initial deliveries to all vendors. Currently most are discounting new '008 kits for just under $400.00. Besides, you don't need 2x Xray '009s, they are durable enough that you barely need many spare parts.

Actually, MAP pricing on the T2'008 was $530 before the T2'009 was announced. The only reason you see it for less is because RC America has given hobby shops permission so they can try to recoup some of the capital they have tied up in inventory (for all kits not just T2'008). The economy has created tough times and a buyer's market. RC America is just trying to help out LHS and RC fans can benefit from it. Once those kit inventories run out you should see prices rise again. Of course, not for the T2'008 which is gone after inventories are.

Don't know about the US, but Xray parts prices went up by anything up to 25% (kits a little less) last week in the UK!

The US has already gone through it. XRAY and RC America announced the price increase in July. Juraj Hudy wrote a column about the rising costs of manufacturing/shipping and how currency conversions are why they had to up prices.

What else is recommended when buying an 09? Not spares, I'm talking tuning items, apart from the obvious ECS front cvd's. Does the kit come with a full sway bar set and is there a spring set available.

Cheers

The EU Rubber Tire cars come with Sway Bars, and the Springs for the '009 are the same used on the '008.

Additional items needed for tuning are Arm Mount Shims and normal shims for uses throughout the car. I try to keep .5mm, 1mm, 2mm, and 3mm shims on-hand.

gonna test it out with the spool setup thurs eve at practice. not usually a fan of spools, but i ordered the mutlidiff, and it might not make it here in time for that.
