Default I have a rally car!!!!

Not sure if it belongs here since rally is on AND off-road. But I've got one now!! I made a trade with an internet buddy of mine. All I knew was he had a 4wd losi, from the way he described it, I thought it was a street weapon. once it got here it turned out it was a rally weapon!! which means I don't have to convert it now :] I don't have a body for it yet, but I have a rally car!!!!!

I love rally racing so I converted my HB Cyclone WCE into a rally car with some tamiya rally block tires and vintage looking focus WRC rally wheels. I also but out the droop stops. I am using my Spektrum DX7 to control it so I have a heading lock gyro and a switch set to act as a handbrake and another to switch the gyro into heading hold mode. The gyro really does the trick.

Why a waste? I am doing something I enjoy. It was already tweaked badly after it went airborn when I was drag racing it with the Speed Passion 2.5t setup. I hit a pebble or crack and it lifted off at probably around 70 mph and hit a street light in the parking lot inverted. The car was very badly tweaked and was not worth the money to replace all of the bulkheads and basically everything aluminum.

Would you like me to send you the kit since I'm so undeserving after getting some last fun out of the kit? (that was a joke)

Hi guys, just to let you know that years ago, we used to race rally cars at an indoor buggy track. It was when the HPI cars came out. We used to race buggies on an indoor dirt track that featured jumps, etc, but where the jumps were, there was an alternate route that could be used for the rally cars. You only had the choice of either the hard or soft HPI block tyres and whatever rally car shell you wanted to use. I remember one of the guys used to have a fully tricked out HPI car that had carbon fibre everything, upgraded shocks and even a 2 speed gearbox (yep, on an electric car!) They used to be awesome going around the track! So there you go, you guys run your rally cars and have great fun doing so!! Cheers, Chris.

I wouldn't want to buy something that you're selling used.

Most of my stuff is in better shape. I never inteded for it to go airborn, it just happened. It was a real "OH [email protected], WHAT THE F&%K" moment. It was probably a 1 in 10000 chance that it just happened to hit that damn street light post.

What is a good chassis to build a rally car on?

I know Tamiya is releasing a rally kit soon.

TT01, HPI E10 (but only with silver can motors), pretty much any TC, but higher spec ones will shred bits like nothing else.
