I don't know about the Tamiya track for exact gearing. Although if you ran the old motor at all I'd suggest gearing down 2 teeth and go from there.

On carpet I pretty much run a 3.8 (with 45 timing) all the time. Hope that atleast points you in the ball park.

I know they are supposed to be higher rpm. But I found they had a bit more power across the board. Compaired to the old stator. As for what it feels compaired to other motors I can't say. I havnt ran anything other than novak in a very long time.

Your saying they are not supposed to be higher RPM? I just want to make sure we are talking about the same motor sorry. Mine is a High Rpm model.

Thanks

Run it with 45* timing and start at a 4.0/4.1 fdr. They do have more rpm over the gold wire and the red wire original 17.5 stators.
