16ga wire in TC stock/19T

Hey All,
I am just wondering if 16 gauge wire will be adequate in TC with Lipo and either a 27T or 19T motor. Of course I run 16 gauge in 1/12 scale with any turn of motor but want to know if this is fine in TC where I typically run 14 gauge.
Thanks,
Kane

I think it will be fine, but you'll be better off using the 14G wire with the power of 19T level motors, but stock 27T would be ok. Its worth the effort now and swapping over to a thicker guage wire as you'll be melting them the first time you decide to try a modified motor in the car.

Don't get me wrong I have run motors from 27 turn all the way down to 7 turn and have melted the solder connections between 12 gauge wire and motors. I ask as I will be running Lipos this year and want to help the balance by reducing weight on the motor side. Thanks for the help.
