Arluck is correct Just look at the last few years REEDY RACE RESULTS and then you will see why the US teams are not sending anyone regardless of the money.
The 2 best US asphault drivers are going Both made the world finals 2 years ago. The only other US driver that may had a chance would be TOSO but he has no ride.

I'm not gonna get into the who's the better driver stuff, but I will say that I think America is way behind on rubber tire racing. And I blame foam tires and the lack of new talent in the mod class. I wish something would change but I'm scared it won't.

I think if more US guys just went to more international races they would do much better....recently Paul has been to many and finished very well...and Rick, well he is just Rick, always fast at races out of the country..

Back in the day when Barry was going over-seas alot he was layn the smak down...and would do it again in a similar situation...

I was not trying to start a whos better then who discussion...I was just saying that what was said was a very bold statement........There a more then just 3 drivers in the U.S that can run with anyone in the world on any given day...

Now...I agree with David...Back in the day the U.S drivers had no problem racing with the rest of the world...Now most struggle...even when it comes to Foam tire races.. heck The rest of the world races Rubber tires all year long then when they come to the U.S to race Foam it takes them a couple packs then right up to speed...But its not the same for (most) of the U.S drivers when its the other way..

I feel if Touring car went back to all rubber tire racing in the U.S. we as drivers would be better off when it comes to international races..

Just my opinion...now let the bashing begin!

Thankfully, foam seems to be on the decline in the US.

Couldn't agree more. Racing needs to go back to rubber tire.

With the economy these days...That is why...when you can run Rubber tires on carpet for as many runs as they are going,it just seems better for the non sponsored racers out there....

I never said that foam is bad for racing...I said going back to all rubber tire racing would be better for U.S drivers that want to be competitive at international races...

Lets not get off subject...this is about the worlds and why there are only 2 U.S drivers racing TC in Thailand.

IMO: Maybe it's time to dig into Our Bloc's money and put together a US team to travel to these International events.
