Seems like Hara was going to drift through the corner (judging from the direction his car was pointing) and was eventually pushed aside without either crashing? Comments?

I dont think Hara was drifting, his car was pointing towards the apex (they were all driving over the white lines), but Marc had the inside and there was nothing Hara could do about it. Great racing!

They say 'give an inch and they'll take a foot', but at this level it would appear to be 'give 1mm and a world champ will fill it with his car'.

Hmm, firm, but fair.

How many times at your clubs have you seen someone try something similar only for it all to end up requiring a dustpan and brush for all involved

Wow. Amazing race action - thank you to everyone who covered the event with videos, pictures or reports, particularly RedRC and HPI TV.

If you watch the footage from above at hpi.tv you can see that Hara went a little wide while Marc spun on the curb. At the end of the corner Hara in order to avoid a collision he went a little more left and that gave the opportunity to Marc to complete the overtake.

Aggressive move but that's racing

I know this has been said before but I just wanted to thank everyone for their work on bringing us coverage of this event.

I don't know about you guys but the trophy's they handed out were very nice and definately unique from all of the ones that I have seen before.

Having the ability and the confidence in the car to put it in the smallest of gaps, then pull off a move like that is special to say the least

Especially when you think there is a world championship at stake during the move and believe me, these guys were feeling the tension and nerves big time.

Great move by Marc, great driving by Atsushi to defend his position and true great sportsmanship when he gave Marc room when it was clear the pass would stick. We can all learn a thing or two about sportsmanship while racing on the edge from these two. Shame really that Atsushi didn't get the 2nd place he so richly deserved.

Congrats to both of them!
