I just wanted to say that the photography at this event was outstanding, as was the coverage by all the media including RedRC and LiveRC and even the bloggers out there, well done guys. It would have been better to be there for sure but this was pretty darn good and cheaper.

I know the Ray Wood video will be available shortly, I own about 8 or 9 of his videos and they are all great. Can't wait.

Thanks,
Steve

Default The Move

THE MOVE!!!

Marc takes inside line. Still doubtful to pass.

Hara protects line with 2 tires on the curving. Marc squeezes over the curving with 4 tires!!!

Side by side at the apex.

Marc has inside line exiting the corner.

Pass completed in the last minute of the race.

Just saw the videos and I'm always shocked how much control these guys have while driving at an incredible pace...

Congrats to Tamiya and Marc!
But WHY would a corner marshall put one of the top 2 cars facing the opposite direction after crashing??? Poor Hara, Great sportsmanship! Bad marshaling!

Perfect driving i say, see hara is a couple inches off the white paint, which the paint itself is nearly a car wide to the start of the ripple strip, and the ripple strip is a car width, with many people actually able to drive right up onto the ripple strips.

That means there was a 2 car width gap where Reinhard could go into if he was able to get it to turn in. To me thats amazing driving, well done Marc

that pass in A3 was perfectly executed look on the hpi.tv footage they got the top view of that one and it looks very very good. there was a gap there and marc took it.

the A1 however was a bit more questionable....

Fantastic racing as we all expected, even more dramatic than anyone could have hoped for

I hope everyone enjoyed the video bits on hpi.tv, there's a complete report on the Finals/Mains and a video montage of the whole weekend as well.

Unbelievable driving skills on show. Can someone tell me if Hara needed to win the third leg? Could he have settled for 2nd or is the tie breaker based on fastest final time? He did have TQ and finished ahead of Marc in the 1st leg so was it a necessary overtake or a silly risk?

If Marc won and Hara was second, winner will be decided upon adding faster runs of both runs.

He might won, or he might not won. On the other had we would have get podium finish!!

Hara's move was correct though, there was an opening and he had to go for it, (he didn't try something exotic) only problem was that he went too close touched a plate, and also the marshal put him on the other way! (don't know how much cost him that)

given they would equal in points and reinhard having the faster time (reinhard 19L in 5:00 v.s hara 19L in 5:03) hara needed the win so he would have to go for it to be champion.
