Actually he's 15 http://www.hpi.tv has an interview with him, current top Brit at the ISTC Worlds...more video coming later today (around 5:00 GMT or 11:00 EST), with Scotty, Karn, RedRC and more...

So I'm looking at the event gallery and looking at Naoto's car. It's funny that he only has his servo taped in and didn't use any servo mounts. Normally the pro guys are pretty meticulous about their cars. Gotta love the World Champ for just having his servo taped in.

Many do this, especially in 12th scale as they want the the servo to be as low as possible and have the links not angled

Many of the World's fastest 12th scalers use silicone adhesive to mount their servos to the chassis.

I think the 12R5 comes with flat servo mounts would think Naoto would use them. I'm not surprised that he has it laying flat, I'm surprised that it's just taped in. A collision could easily move the servo which would end his run.
