I cannot talk about slot car bodies, but I all made some remebering, the famous TOJ body, whose all 1/12, 1/10 and 1/8 racers used some time ago was a real car, TOJ body is in real a Lola Toj, who raced quite years ago in the Can-Am series (back in the 80's). Today, we have some cars who resemble it, take a look to Ridley Scott chassis who race in the American Le Mans series (or... why not, the Panoz car).

Nissan and toyota bodies where real cars, who raced in the GTP series, several years ago (back in the 90's), other cars who raced on these series or the Group C series were the Porsche 956 & 962, the Jaguar XJR14 and Sauber C9. Nowadays we can see some sort of these cars (Nissan R390 and Toyota GT1).

I seem to remember reading that the winner of the Reedy race won using a Vauxall (sp?) Opel body. Guess the Stratus is better theory is just a bunch of crap.

I tried the S60 after getting bored with the sight of a gridfull of Stratus : P
It felt identical to the Stratus, maybe a touch more understeer....

Thanks for the help, I'm definately getting one now! I've expanded on my original idea for a paint shceme. How does this sound, faschange blue covered with gold for the main body color. Then green and silver trim, maybe flames or something. I think it would be cool!

I really don't spend that much $ on anything, except R/C of course!!
And as for the Hyundai elantra comment, I"Do Not" own any automobile NOT made in the U.S.A.
I have always followed the rule,"BUY AMERICAN YOUR JOB AND LIFE MAY DEPEND ON IT"!!
That quote seems to mean even more now in light of recent events....
