Josh, what are your thoughts on the Belt Tensioner for the Xray? Also, do you know by any chance how much weight is saved with the lightweight (hollow) top layshaft? Is this a good thing to get?

Thanks in advance,
Kevin

Joe B - www.cefx.net - SETUPS/TIPS area....

Pro ten - Sorry, I don't have any pictures of the car and I sent it back to Associated a long time ago...

RCsilly - We'll make an anouncement once things are a little more organized and finished up...

Brian - We are going to work on the oval car for the indoor season but the main focus is the 1/12 Worlds. After the work for that is done we will work on the 1/12 oval car followed by the 1/10....

scarecrow - I know, I know....lol... and I'm still workin!!!

etzkev - I usually don't run it but I don't think it's a must have. If you do have it, it is nice to be able to adjust the tension without taking the car a part to change the bearning cam position... I'm not sure on the weight saving on the top shaft... Again, it's not a must have but I'm sure the reduction of spinning weight won't hurt anything.....

Thanks for your help. Just one more question. What are your thoughts on using the short arms on asphalt? Are they still a "must" or is that more for carpet?

etzkev - I think the short arms are better everywhere - carpet and asphalt...

Adam -

striker - If you are happy with the car's balance then it's always a good idea to place weight equally around the car - that is if you can't place it all directly in the center of the car. It's not a bad idea to use parts that are stronger if you have room to spare on weight. Also, use steel screws in the bottom of the car - still a low cg but also stronger and less chance of a piece of weight flying out in a crash....

RCsilly - Yeah, but everyone else doesn't...lol..

josh - thanks for the great advices.!!! you da man!! are you familiar with IFMAR rulings regarding weight? the guys over at the local track say that 1530 is the minimum weight allowed. should the minimum weight include the transponder, if we were to follow IFMAR rules?
