bubbles: agree but all the top manufacturers have "great" cars. reason i ask is coz this great driver had a choice and he chose the TC3. other great sponsored divers dont have a chocie, they run what their sponsors produce. there had to be something about that chassis that made him go with that over the others .....

i heard that josh was sponsored by ae, but i am not him, just have to wait till he can shead some light on us

but then again his car was part losi/NTC3 so it isn't the same performance as a stock TC3, but i do see where you are comming from, true, true

Josh, do i mount the shock on the inner most hole? Where the rear body post originally screw in? Ive tried the other holes but my shock travel was very limited. And with the "F" blocks in the rear, will that set-up take away most of the torque steer? Thanks for the help Josh.

Josh:

Good luck on your future endeavours. I am looking forward to seeing you race this weekend at the Australian Nationals In Brisbane. I hope you bring the V1RR Evo with you shake up all these Mugens!

vulso - Yep!! I have a 190mm that's ready to hit the track for testing (have to test it and dial it in before production!!). Once that is done a 200mm of that body will be made and then I will start working on another new TC....

bubbles - It was a great race. It's been a while since I got to run at SoCa so it was a lot of fun for me!! I wish I could have won the main but I was still very happy with the race and result!!

ROBORAT - Actually, Trinity had set-up the AE ride for me. They wanted me in the TC3 just in case the Losi guys were struggling with their cars at a race. That way no matter what car was working better on any given weekend Trinity still had a shot at the win. AE sponsors me and they do make a very good TC!!

ME+RC=$$ - LOL....

racerman - Not the body mount holes - just the inner shock mounting location. When we use a rear tower on the front we will use the off-road tie-rod pivot balls and ball cups for the bottoms of the shocks. This allows you to trim the plastic ball cups short enough to get both the shock and spring travel you need. As far as the torque steer - I don't think there's a set-up that makes it just go away. I always just keep adding extra droop in the left rear (battery side rear tire) until the car drives and launches straight. Usually my car has .5mm-1.5mm more droop in the left rear vs. the right. I set the front arms to have equal droop, then I make all of the springs have equal play on the shocks - What I mean here is when the car is off the ground and the shocks are extended just feel the springs and how free or how much distance they are from the spring adjuster - I always make them equal and 99% of the time my car tweaks straight and drives right.... I hope I didn't loose ya in this one... I know it's confussing...

HEY GUYS!!!! I'm packing for Australia!! I don't know if I'll be on here while I'm down there (last time I went on a trip my laptop went nuts!!). If I can get on here it will be business as usual. If not I'll check things out when I get back and we will probably get an Ask Josh forum fired up. Thanks everyone for the kind words and support over my change of employment!! Later all!!

Josh

Hey Barry, guess what? BAM! lol. Please get the lead out and get those big-butted cars dialed! We'll swing by to watch next weekend and heckl....errr cheer you on.

Also, I think Futureal can rename this thread to read something other than Josh leaving Trinity...it seems to have a negative connotation about it. Just a thought.
