From what I am hearing it should be the first of this month (to me). I just hope this thing doesn't turn into one of those TC3 deals, remember that?

Josh: good running this weekend. Takes a little time to get use to the car huh! How do you like the Jaco tires compared to TRC?

Looks to me like Josh was concentrating more on testing side to make the car better while David was working on the win and benefiting from the testing Josh could do for him without costing him slower runs. Since you only get 6 or so packs on the track, it is not easy to dial in a new car especially when there are only two drivers doing the testing (no matter if you are/or are not a world champion level driver). I might be incorrect, this is just my internet observation. Either way, the car is a winner

I didn't see Saturday's qualifiers...but from what I saw on Friday...the car HANDLED well...it seemed like the struggle was finding the proper motor/rollout/battery combination to get peak performance...

Sorry I should specify that I was talking about his X-ray. I figured the 12th scale he designed, he would know what he was doing with it.

Ah I see, I would say Josh did a great job though with the car. He did make the show with a car he just got and the only person to ever place an XRay that high into finishes with the level of talent present has been Ralph Burch as far as I am aware. I expect to see some neat stuff from Josh and the XRay, wonder how many parts he has made for it already

The XRay was a dream to drive, Ron Atomic had the setup on the car when we arrived and I had never driven a XRay on carpet, but I only needed 1 pack of practice from a 3 month break with that car, we didn't change a thing.

All I know is that it had all the stock parts (no short arms), violet springs all the way around, and I believe shocks were 30 weight 2 hole. AJ has the setup written down at the track or Ron can give it to you next week (Dec 7th), feel free to come to our pit and pick Ron's brain, I am just a wheel, he is the setup man.

What's the deal with Trinity? I know Josh C and somebody else (?) left them recently. I've seen some negative opinions on other threads as well.

It seams as though Trinity is the company that everybody loves to hate, like Microsoft.

I've been out of RC for about 8 years until this summer, must have missed something.

Personally, I'm happy with the Trinity products that I've bought, some are overpriced though.

What's the deal?

Josh left because of idealogical differences with them, most likely over his desire to start his own company (CEFX) producing things that compete with Trinity (bodies, kits, etc). He has never said anything bad about their products, nor have any of the other racers that have left them (that I have seen).

Talking Servo Position

Hi Josh
I just bought the new 1/12 Rug Rat from IRS and I was wondering what would be the best servo mounting position on the vehicle I presently laid it flat down and People at the track told me to put it back on a angle because of the Associated front suspension. I have seen on your old Switch Blade you run it flat .
What is the main difference is it for the center of gravity?

And By the way how do you like the XRAY VS. TC3?

By the way any info on your new body like where to buy or how to order will be great . I am presently running the Ascari and I am always trying to fit the electronics under it would yours have a similar issue. Im running a Cyclone a XXL FM mini Servo, full transponder.

Thanks and goodluck

I thought Josh posted something on this about something that happened at the 1/8th scale race. Never did say anything bad though as he is a class act. I think he voiced an opinion about some unfair stuff going on towards other Trinity team mates.
