TC3 Arm Mount Question:

Do you modify your supension arm mount heights for carpet? Sorry if it has been asked on here and I missed it (tough at 400 posts strong). Basically are they stock, with washers added, or with material removed?

I'm going to try carpet soon and have heard tons of rumors about the "hot" setup with either raised or lowered mounts.

Also earlier, you had mentioned running a bit more droop in the left rear to compensate for the torque steer effect of the shaft platform. Is this an "automatic" setting you apply, or does this change depending on a conditions and equipment (like mod vs. stock)?

Thanks for helping us all out on here and best of luck at Cleveland!

Josh, you mentioned that you run the Nitro steering. Did you do it like this? Thanks.

Tim,

Good to see they haven't driven you into submission with those 40+ hours of OT..

You and Junior going to come out and play this weekend?

Josh,

I don't know if you remember racing at Honda House in Chatam Ont, Canada but here's a pic from back in the day.

Here is the list of drivers in this photo:
Left to Right Top Row

Mark Calandra CRC, Paul Snyder Trinity, Frank Calandra CRC, Dave Berry and Brian Berry (IFMAR World Champion) Associated

Left to Right Bottom Row

Wayne Vince (Canadian ROAR and Cleveland Champ, Honda House Team Driver) Josh Cyrul (World Famous), Walter Henderson Team Associated Driver, Scott Smither (Cleveland Champ and Honda House Team Driver)

This was from Honda House's "SCAR WARS" 12th Scale Factory Challenge Race which Walter Henderson won. Handout Motors and Batteries, everyone used Dahm's Spitfire Truck Bodies and the races were Oval and Circuit Races with combined points.

Racing at Honda House is still going strong, A/B/C/D 12 scale stock mains every Tuesday night!!!

Josh is it true that you have joined Team Hudy / Xray.

Are you still with Kyosho for Nitro racing?

V60 - I always have a little more droop in the left rear - it all depends on how the car is driving - doesn't matter about the surface or mod or stock... I used the stock suspension mounts and I have been very happy with my car...

51 - Yep, that's the same as mine - same as the Nitro TC3...

Fakk2 - I don't know. I have a lot to get done and test this weekend.. The CEFX 1/12 prototypes will be running at Cleveland. I think I will at least be able to test the new rear pod this weekend (maybe Toledo) and possibly the front end... I can't test at the CRL if there is going to be racing all day...

ddesros2 - I remember!! That's when those guys pounded me on the oval (I think I was off the track 2 times in the main!!). I got em back in the road course though!! That race was a lot of fun and I think I still have that truck body!!

Dsilva - Yep, but now I will also be running Kyosho's 200mm car. They already sent me a FW-05R to put together... I guess it's their new shaft drive 200mm sedan....

Darryl - I have Jonimo's pictures as well as a video tape from a club race!!!

John - LOL....

Ray - I nearly did!!! If you watch the video in slowmo you can see the front wheels weren't even on the ground when I hit the ramp!!!

Hey Josh,

What do you gain or lose by moving the front camber link to the lower/inner hole as opposed to the upper/inner hole?

See ya in a few weeks,

Mark

Josh and everyone else, If you have a chance, Honda House is holding the Canadian 12th scale champs this weekend (Nov 15-16). Come up and race if you can make it. It will be a blast.
