Josh, new to carpet and was wondering what size in mm you normally start your foam tires at? Also would like to know how many runs one should expect from a set of double pink/orange and double pink tires when running mod? Thanks

Doug

josh -i just ran my fk with the new chassis and it was awesome!!!! it was really predictable and so easy to drive it almost was a no brainer!!! the car is perfect!!

HOWEVER...... i couldnt use the low roll center for the rear anymore cause on how the 3D cut was done. there was no provisions for the the black plastic thingie that held the hinge pins in place.

BUT NEVERTHELESS the car was superb!!! just wanted you to know about it!!

kudos once again!!!

Doug - I usually run 2.28-2.16 tires... I'm not sure what that is in mm.... I think about 58mm-55mm and I can usually get about 8-12 runs on a set....

striker - Sounds good. I always use the middle hole for foams and the upper hole for rubber tires so I never noticed that you can't use the lower roll center position....

Josh.

I have some questions about the FK.

I know you feel more comfortable talking Foam carpet but I want to pick your mind about rubber/outside.

asuming I have a good starting point in set-up.

how would I get the following:

More onpower steering?

More low or off power steering?

More rear traction?

Less rear traction?

More corner speed? ( asuming I am using new proper tires for the track)

I have a spool, oneway and a diff, but I prefer the spool.

What real effect does the roll centers do to the car ? You mention you use the top rar hole for Rubber? can I sk why? what does it do compared to the mid hole in the rear? What about the front RC on rubber?

you you always run the car in the long wheelbase?
What does "moving out" on the top link do? ( making it shorter) What does raising the ball studs on the hubs do?

What about the short front link in the lower postion of the front tower ( new one) ?

I read somewhere that the car does not react like other cars in terms of front caster,

0 works for?

3 works for?

6 works for?

Sorry for al the questions, I just want to learn as much as possible about my new car. our racing events are short on practice so the more i learn from you the faster I wil be on the track.

P.S. I have the new chassis

Thank you so much it is a big help.

Hey Butter!! I won't be at the Halloween race this year as I will be down in Brazil for the Worlds. I'll give you a call this week though!!

speed2004 - WOW... First, my radio - I set my end points and drive. I don't use a lot of the other functions as I like to keep everything neutral and linear as it makes it easier for me to jump from one class of racing to another. Now, as to the rest of your questions.... it would take me hours to type replies to all of these. Please just ask one/two at a time and be more specific as to what you would like your car to do better or what it is doing wrong.
