Josh

I just purchased an Xray FK and setup the belt per the instructions and it seems a bit tight how loose can I run it?

Thanks Rodney

whynot - Check out our web site. www.cefx.net I have a clutch tuning 101 up there...

striker - Ouch!!!

rrboy - Never tried it. The G4 always had plenty of on-throttle steering with 10,000-20,000wt diff oil so I never even tried a solid... The solid front axle has NO steering...lol... It lasted about 2 minutes in the car till it was changed back to the one-way....

Ray - Not sure on that one... Try the al. parts - especially the rear hub carriers and front castor blocks...

mtveten - You use a ball stud (or something like the balls that are used in the shocks) with spacers or Xray makes a very tall ball stud (not sure part #). We use the inner hole almost always - more steering. We don't use the bridge any more for the same reason - longer link = less steering....

RodneyRacer - Are you running stock or mod - if stock then you can run it max loose! Remember, the belt will loosen slightly as it breaks in after a few runs....

Default Which race?

Josh,I noticed that the dates for Snowbirds and WinterNationals are the same week this coming year.Which race will you guys attend ?It looks like a conflict of interest could be at hand between some of you guys that attend both races each year.Im sure Kyosho and Hudy, let alone your own company ,CEFX want you at both races.

etzkev - Yep, working hard as usual!!!

Roadwizard - I talked to Ralph Burch and it seems that we both agreed that the Snowbirds will be the race of choice for both of us. It's definatly the larger of the two in terms of magazine coverage and manufacturer participation so it's pretty much a must attend of the year - similar to Cleveland, ROAR Nats and IFMAR Worlds.....

Josh is right on the money, the Snowbirds are one of the can't-miss races every year. Not sure why the Winter Nats would schedule opposite that race, that isn't good for anybody. But I'm sure there's a reason... somewhere.

Anyway, see ya in Portland Josh. We'll have to interview you on camera for the next R/C Tech DVD.

Neil: That was the idea -- make me look as stupid as possible. Judging by all the "you look retarded" mail I've gotten, it was a success!
