akura2, that is one of the nicest looking nitro F1 cars I've ever seen! Wish they would sell that here in the US!! Would love to see some of the 2009 season bodies on it like the Ferrari F60 and the Red Bull RB5 or the McLaren MP4-24.

F103L will only fit Indy bodies as it is a longer chassis,It also has bigger wheels.

Any F103 body will fit the Sauber.

Default more questions

yes i see now the package arrived today the wheels are of a greater diameter
all the rest is the same as std F103 just the chassis parts and the body and the wheels :]
its the pits when you cant just download a manual from the net :[ would have cleared up alot of questions

does any one find the f103L handles Better than the STD F103 ?

many thanxs Dave

Default F013R 412T2 Project

Hey guys,
Finally my Ferrari 412T2 is finished, lots of hours spent on finding and digitalizing the right decals, at the end they refused to print correctly and D-drive won!

Started as a F103 C body set:

Marlboro was mostly fired as a sponcer in my car and yes the helmet decals are grooved (just impossible to have them flat, for me that is lol):

Jean Alesi helmet for the 1995 Montreal GP (his first and only F1 victory)

Lateral view:

The real deal:

Telefonica had to be substituted by Tamiya on the front wing:

Default F013R 412T2 Project 2

Nice tail!

This rear wing started as a "L" body blue wing, it had to be sticky decaled black, then painted and decaled again (a royal pain!)

This is my 4th body job ever and I don't want to do any more!
Just a small tribute to Jean's Victory and the last 12 cylinder F1 Ferrari.

See the Vicory lap on top of Schumis Benetton at YouTube:

Cheers!

Although I don't like Ferraris (they fired my beloved Regazzoni when I was a child) but yours looks really sharp.
I have been working on my second F1 (and RC) and I actually still enjoy it.

What was the problem with your decals?

Not sure where you heard that. A 21.5 will absolutely kill the 540 brushed motors. At our track the best laptime was massively improved by the introduction of 21.5 BL. I had one of the first systems and after running it a couple of times, I just put it aside until most of the field went BL just because there was absolutely no challenge pitching it against brushed 540 and I had no satisfaction beating people because of their outdated technology. Timing advance on the fly as afforded by BL systems such as the Tekin basically obliterate the poor old 540.

Hate to be an ass but Schumi drove just 1 race for Jordan in Spa/Belgium 1991.
The picture you have last is in 1995 when he drives for Benetton...

Thanks Sauber, I could not print on the transparent polyester sheets, the colors come out "transparent like", when applied on the red surface the red comes trough them.
Some body suggested that I use white sheets but I gave it up. I have the full set in hi-res .pdf (excatly as you see in the photos) for the 412T2 and for the 1990 Ferrari 641 #27 in which A. Prost won 5 GP's including Mexico. Oh well!

Thanks Red Torro, of course is not a Jordan is a Benetton Renault (just look at the photo rigth.. )

Cheers!

I am new to RC but I have done a lot of decals.
Colors have to be underlayed with white. White sheets would be a solution if the shap is rectangled.
I use a printer that can print white but I have problems that the print does not stick on the transparency stickers I found.
