Default Associated F1 Wanted

Interested to know if there is a 12R5 rear end based F1...

Or if there are none metric F1 kits that I would be able to easily use similar parts/screw/tools/etc.

Thanks in advance

Thanks everyone else too. I wanted something that would stand out and not everyone else had too. Someone is trying to do me up another livery for another body, but this one will do just fine for now.

As the decals are a universal fit, I painted the black sections using the decals as a template. Tip - make the sides a bit bigger to allow the 'Benson & Hedges' decal to fit fully. It's marginally too big as it is.

Strictly speaking, no. The F1R uses the side links and center pivot of a 12R though. The pod plate is designed to fit the original F103/F104 motor plates (not the F104 V2).

The axle from the hpi f10 is 1/4". You could get the option axle parts.to use tamiya wheels and it should slide.right into the 12r5 pod.

My 14 year old son spent the weekend on his first RC build. Its a F104 the Ferrari F60. He's pretty good with models, but this was the first time he has tackled an R/C kit. He's been driving F1, just never built one.

I had to sit on my hands alot to keep from "helping", but I did exactly that. I was really proud of him. Paint next!

Very good. Did he start racing with a f1 or AWD?
My 11 yo son just started racing and it is a vta type class with 25,5 motor. I was wondering when he would be able to assemble a RC car.

We are trying to get an F1 class going at our local carpet track. Most of us will be running F104v2. We will be running 2 cell 17.5 and I am wondering what foams are good for carpet. Tamiya has A,B and c and also HBR in a,b and c. Just wonderinga good starting spot. Thanks

Isn't rubber simpler/easier to set up? Once you have the correct tires you are set for the season pretty much. And it looks more real...

Sorry I am no help.

So if you were to run 17.5 2 cell shat would be a good rubber tire setup

Old school kyosho Jordan 192. Still one of my favorite f1 chassis.
