Just a big thanks to Brad at F1paintlab. We know he makes good decals, but he got a few sets mailed to the middle of Shanghai. If he can do that, he can get them anywhere on the planet.

Thanks

Sorry to spoil the party, but that seems more like a MP4/8 body (higher nose) with the MP4/6 or 7 livery !

-> Senna had the number one on his cars in '89 (MP4/5) '91 (MP4/6) and '92 (MP4/7) although the '1' should also have adorned his MP4/5B in 1990 (JM Balestre had something to do with that.... )

->In 1993 he drove the number 8 on his MP4/8

->The MP4/8 had a Ford engine in '93 (the first non-Honda in a McLaren since 1987)

I would call this one a MP4/7-8 hybrid

Although not 100% scale, it looks fantastic though

Which body set did you use ? (Tamiya or not ? )

Yes! You are totally correct ahhh a fellow Senna obsessee - awesome!
While not exactly scale I prefer the #1 and Honda stickers for my Senna cars for obvious reasons

Body is not Tamiya got it from.....mmm forgot....will get back to you!

Default Qualifying heats with two different cars?

Is it allowed by the rule for a driver to drive different cars for different qualifying heats?

for the UF1 series, you can run as many cars as wanted, as long as they are within the rules.

If you are looking for a mirrored surface, you could use Monokote adhesive chrome trim pieces (http://monokote.com/trim.html)

The nice thing about using Monokote trim is that is relatively thin, is fuel resistant, and has an adhesive backing. It comes in many colors and is also a good alternative to trying to paint front/rear wings. You can use a hair dryer or heat gun to help bend it around corners as well.

It is relatively inexpensive and can be purchased online at many r/c stores. Here is a link on Tower Hobbies - (http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...trim&search=Go)

The chrome Monokote trim is reflective. I can't find a good picture of it online, but I've seen it at my local hobby store. Unfortunately due to a snow storm I cannot get there today to take a photo of it.

Thanks for the props, although I didn't do anything special. But if you have an address I will ship to it

From the pictures, just put in a longer upper rear link and mount it to the servo brace. Not sure how that would impact steering, bu potentially a problem solved.

Looking at the narrow version of the TRG car, I think the nose section of the body WILL cover the suspension mounting points without any modification needed.
I wish someone would post a pic of the narrow version with a current style F1 body on it to prove the point. The only pic I've seen of the TRG car with a body is of the wide 200mm version.

The rear ball cup is questionable as it sits farther out than the servo mount post.
What is the advantage of that setup vs f104 front?

Thanks for the reply, I was actually asking how to paint the plastic pieces by the barge boards the body color. I keep trying to paint them but the paint doesn't cover. I am using the Tamiya ts85 paint.
