Working on "the other six wheels" F1... The March 240

A bit of story:
1976…. a crazy year in F1, that was a time where designers could explore far more than today.
Tyrrell develop the “P34” a 6 wheels, with 4 steering wheels.

Less people known that March start an ambitious project as well: the 2-4-0
The name stands for
2 steering wheels
4 wheel drive
0 differential

The idea was – somehow – too good to be true: Better traction, less aero drag, but most important it could get some sponsor attention.

But, for a small team like March, was somehow more than they could chew, nevertheless it reach the goal to help in cover part of the budget needed by the team, getting enough money to cover the Ian Scheckter's works car with a main sponsor for the whole season.
If check the other works car, Ronnie Peterson's one, was often carrying "last minute sponsors" during the race, having the car sponsorless in the qualify runs.

Real car was used just few times during private tests, by Ian Scheckter, Jodi’s brother.

Later… the 4wd package was sold to Roy Lane who fit it over his March 771, used in Hillclimb races, where the car score some victories.

Car can be seen at the Louwman Museum, in Holland
https://www.louwmanmuseum.nl/…/Ontd…/march-240-771-formula-1
Or used sometime at Goodwood or in Historical races.

As his sister 761, we’ve to say an huge “thank you” to Marchives www.marchives.com for the support.

Default F104V2

Can a F104V2 still be competitive against the current crop of F1 Kits out there?
Talking specifically for Asphalt.

I'm much faster with a modern F1 car over my F104v2 on asphalt.

Our club was 80% Tamiya until the X-ray X1 came out. Now almost no one runs one, let alone a v2.

You would probably be better off with the regular Tbar F104. The V2 link cars never seemed to be as easy to get working as the Tbar cars. The modern cars are much nicer.

I have an Xray just apprehensive running the chassis on Asphalt and the fact that it is dialed on Carpet right now.

Step 1, whatever chassis' are supported locally at your track or hobby store. Step 2 (if the answer to step 1 is more than one option) is pick the one you like most for features. Step 3, all chassis are good, just be on the right tire!!!!!!

Anyone tried the CRC F1 rubber tires (2320 - Mounted F1 tires-RT-1) on asphalt please?

Please share your thoughts.
