So after watching the biggest class each Saturday, i’m debating on jumiping into the F1 game. I haven’t raced pan cars for year’s but curious which chassis to get. I was thinking F6 because I usually run AE. A lot of racers out here have a hard time running consistent times over 5 min. There’s the Roche that I can’t seem to find kits available but hear a lot of good. There’s the X1 that seems exotic but now days it’s easier to get XRay parts due to Amain. The Yokomo looks good too but parts maybe difficult. If for parts availability F6. XRay or Yokomo will order. They all look the same but can anyone offer any suggestions based on major differences?

Normal suggestion is to get what other people are running so you can get help with setup. AE is probably the easiest to get parts for.

Yokomo has not made any upgrades to their chassis or car since it was released. I do not know of anyone who has ran that chassis and worry it may not be the best car.

For just about the same price, I would choose the Xray over the F6. Parts cost more for the X-ray but you will hardly break anything on it. I've had the Yokomo. It was ok, but there are better choices.

The Roche will perform just as good as the Xray and is incredible value. I've owned the Roche too. Parts support suck though (again, shouldn't be breaking much on these cars so may be a non issue). Roche quality is a little lower than Xray (fit/finish and the ball diff).

Thanks for your input Dan. I'm not opposed to lack of parts because I rarely break anything. BUT things do happen. I hate to be running and not be able to run because parts are unavailable. My local track carries practically NO parts so ordering them is the main option. Just last week I broke a front arm on my TC7.1. The replacement arm I had but the outter hinge pin i didn't. I had to cut a 2 mm drill bit down to get it back up and running.
The Roche looks great for value but where do I even buy it from? Looks like direct is the best avenue. We have one X1 running and a few F6's here every Saturday. The others are Yokomo's, VBC's and Tamiya's.

You can get them from Roche USA, Michaels hobbies, or Grip works in North America.

I have a Roche for sale in the Items For Sale section. Set-up for CRC black carpet.

Default ROTOR RULE

Is there still a rotor rule in the USA for 25.5 F1?

All 25.5 have to be 12.3. It's not an F1 rule

Any one know if any one makes the F1 wheel adaptor hex to fit on the MuchMore TC tire sanders?

Muchmore do: Tire Sander Pro F1 Wheel Hub Adapter-Muchmore Racing. Co., Ltd.

I picked one up when I got my tyre sander, and they seem to be still available.

Mike check the shaft diameter, you may be able to just use a tamiya left side hub. I have a Yokomo sander this works on.
